Job summary

Independent lives is seeking a friendly Personal Assistant / Support Worker for our 19‑year‑old daughter in Burgess Hill. The role is ad hoc, mainly during school holidays with around 10 hours per week initially, and potential to increase.

You will accompany her on outings, help with activities, and support independence in a caring, patient way. A full driving licence and access to your own car are essential to drive her to activities.

Qualifications

• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Valid driving license and access to own car.
• Comfortable with pets.
• Experience with young people or additional needs is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support daughter with outings to zoos, theme parks, and other activities.
• Assist with gym and swimming sessions and daily routines.
• Encourage independence and develop confidence in the community.
• Safely drive to activities and maintain well‑being and safety.
