Job summary

Self Direct Support Options Fife is seeking relief personal assistants to support a 92-year-old woman with dementia at her home in Scotland. You will provide companionship, monitor safety, and assist with personal care as needed.

This casual, as-needed role also involves light housework, meal preparation, and aid with medication. Driving is preferred to enable flexible travel and errands. A caring, reliable and flexible approach is essential.

Job description

We are looking for relief personal assistant to help a 92-year-old female who has Dementia and would like some company to give her family a break. Our client requires some reassurance when away from family. She enjoys the company of others and would benefit from someone who is kind and understanding.

You will support her in her home to keep her mind active and to also keep her safe. The role will also require you to support her with personal care (if required) and meal preparation as our client is currently bed bound and needs assistance with these tasks. This will be on a casual basis, as and when. You will also be helping to administer medication.

You should have a caring attitude, a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Having previous experience of supporting people with dementia would be advantageous but not essential. Being a driver is preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities in this role are provision of personal care, assistance to maintain routine, light housework, meal preparation and assistance with medication.
