Job summary

Capability Scotland in Dumfries is seeking a patient, reliable personal assistant to support a client with mixed dementia at home. You will assist with morning care, helping with washing and dressing, and support with showering three times a week. Dinner is provided at 5pm, and shifts are arranged on a rota basis with flexible timing.

Paid leave is provided and a PVG check is required. Females only apply as permitted under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.

Job description

I’mDoreen,an84-year-oldlady looking for a reliable team of personal assistants in Dumfries to cover2 visits a day. In the morning, I need someone to support me with making sure I have washed and changed into clean clothes. I also need support with showering three times a week. At 5pm, I need someone to give me my dinner. The shifts will be arranged on a rota, and I am willing to be flexible with the timings.

I have mixed dementia and use a walking frameso looking for someone who is patient and can help me stick to my routine. Ilove looking though old photos of my family and enjoy playing solitaire on my iPad.

Hours will be varied and will be confirmed at interview stage. If you can cover any shifts, shifts can be worked out at interview. Therate of pay would be £13.45 per hour with paid annual leave of 5.6 weeks pro rata. A suitable PVG is required. Females only need apply as permitted under Schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
