Job summary

Disability North in South Shields is seeking a patient, dependable and adaptable support worker on a zero hours contract, initially up to four hours per week. The rate is £13.43 per hour and the area is South Shields.

We are looking someone patient, dependable, and adaptable to work with a young autistic lady. This will be a zero hours contract, initially up to four hours per week.

The role is to support the family to attend appointments, with a view to increasing hours to incorporate social activities.

You must be prepared to act as a bodyguard to prevent accidental human touch, including your own.

Due to the needs of the young lady, applicants must be non-smokers, not wear perfume, or use aerosol deodorant. You must be physically fit and be prepared to spend time outdoors regardless of the weather.
