Personal Assistant (Community Support Worker)

At Thurrock Lifestyle Solutions CIC, we believe that every person deserves to live life on their own terms. We are a community interest company rooted in the values of Inclusion, Aspiration, Choice, and Togetherness and everything we do flows from those four words.

We are looking for warm, motivated, and creative people to join us as Community Support Workers. This is a role where you will genuinely make a difference, not just day to day, but in the longer story of someone's life.

What the role looks like

This is not a traditional care role. Yes, you will be supporting disabled people, but the heart of the work is partnership. You will be walking alongside people as they pursue their own goals, build their confidence and take up their rightful place in community life.

That might look like helping someone access education or employment. It might mean supporting a person to speak up for themselves, or simply being a consistent, trustworthy presence in their week. Every day will be a little different and that is part of what makes this work so meaningful.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Providing support that is genuinely person-centred, shaped by each individual's needs, preferences and goals
  • Helping people access education, employment and social opportunities
  • Promoting independence, dignity, and the right to make informed choices
  • Building relationships grounded in trust and mutual respect
  • Working alongside families, professionals, and wider community networks
  • Contributing to a team culture that is positive, inclusive, and values-led
What we are looking for

You do not need a long list of qualifications. What matters most is that you see potential in people, not limitations.

  • Are genuinely committed to inclusion and equality
  • Communicate well and build rapport naturally
  • Bring a positive, flexible, and proactive approach to your work
  • Are willing to learn and grow within a supportive environment

Experience in social care or community work is always welcome, but it is not essential. If you have the right values and the right outlook, we will support you with everything else.

What we offer
  • A role where your work has real, lasting impact
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • A warm, inclusive workplace where every voice is valued
  • Opportunities to help shape and influence the services we provide
  • A competitive salary and benefits package
Why Thurrock Lifestyle Solutions CIC?

Because people come first here, always. You will be part of a team that celebrates every achievement, supports one another through challenges and works together towards a more inclusive society.

If that sounds like somewhere you would thrive, we would love to hear from you.
