I am a young 19-year-old gentleman who lives at home with my family. I have Lowe Syndrome with Fanconi Syndrome, which includes complex needs such as Epilepsy. I am nonverbal, making communication challenging. I am seeking a caring, patient team of Personal Assistants to support me, understand my needs, and respect my family homes. I split my time between my Mum & Dad's homes, where I receive all necessary care, and you would need to work at both locations.
You will be supported to learn my unique requirements, covering personal and medical care, including PEG feeding, respiratory needs, medication, epilepsy, mobility, and communication. The role involves getting to know me at my pace and supporting my happiness and safety.
Training will be provided through meetings, shadowing, and a bespoke program, with mandatory and annual specialised training.
You should be calm, friendly, fun, flexible, and unphased by my health needs and situations. Support will include 2:1 evening assistance to ensure my safety and well-being, especially during bedtime routines and seizure responses.
And much more!
