The role requires organisational, creative thinking and a collaborative approach to deliver high-quality experiences that prepare learners for life
The Personal and Social Development Coordinator will work as a key member of the SGSPLUS+ team, contributing to the College's Tutorial and Enrichment Programmes. The SGSPLUS+ programme aims to develop social understanding, equip young people with the skills needed to achieve and thrive, and provide memorable experiences that enhance their overall college journey. We are seeking to appoint a Personal and Social Development Coordinator who will support curriculum areas with the planning and delivery of high-quality Enrichment and Tutorial provision across our Filton and WISE campuses. Guided by both the SGSPLUS+ Framework and the College strategy, the successful applicant will plan, coordinate, record and deliver enrichment opportunities that strengthen student community, raise achievement, build readiness for future pathways, and contribute to the overall enjoyment of their college experience. This will include creating course and level-specific enrichment activities delivered face-to-face that complement and enhance core study programmes. The post-holder will also play a key role in shaping, delivering and monitoring the tutorial programme, ensuring that content reflects student needs, addresses current societal issues, encourages ambition, builds essential life and career skills, and promotes wellbeing and enjoyment. Working collaboratively within the SGSPLUS+ team, the coordinator will help develop a diverse range of opportunities, from guest speakers to trips and socials, that enrich student life and positively influence College culture. An understanding of contemporary societal challenges will be advantageous in ensuring content remains relevant and meaningful.
