Interaction Recruitment Group is partnering with a growing accountancy practice in Ferndown to appoint a Client Director / Senior Accountant. The role leads a small team, manages a portfolio of clients and oversees accounts production, tax review and business development.

You’ll be client-facing, taking ownership of client relationships, supervising staff, and driving profitable services while ensuring deadlines and service standards are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong accounts preparation and review experience.
• Good working knowledge of UK taxation, VAT and Corporation Tax.
• Experience managing your own portfolio of clients.
• Confident in dealing directly with clients and providing high service levels.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
• Ability to manage workloads and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive, commercially minded approach.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of an established and growing accountancy practice in Ferndown looking for an experienced Practice Accountant to step into a Client Director / Senior Accountant position.

This is a client-facing role combining portfolio management, accounts and tax review, team supervision and business development. It would suit an experienced practice professional who is confident managing their own clients and is ready to take greater responsibility for a small team.

You’ll have ownership of a portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines and service standards are achieved while acting as a trusted point of contact for your clients.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong accounts preparation and review experience.
• A good working knowledge of UK taxation, VAT and Corporation Tax.
• Previous experience managing your own portfolio of clients.
• Confidence dealing directly with clients and providing a high level of service.
• Experience supervising, mentoring or developing junior members of staff.
• The ability to manage workloads and competing deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach.

You may be AAT, ACCA or ACA qualified or part-qualified, although strong relevant practice experience will be particularly important.
