Job summary

Interaction Recruitment represents a growing accountancy practice in Ferndown seeking a Client Director / Senior Practice Accountant. You will own a client portfolio, supervise a team and contribute to business development while maintaining high-quality accounts and tax work.

The role requires practical experience in practice, strong client-facing skills, and the ability to guide junior colleagues. AAT/ACCA/ACA considerations apply, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Three years' accountancy practice experience or more.
• Strong accounts preparation and review skills.
• Good working knowledge of UK taxation, VAT and Corporation Tax.
• Experience managing your own client portfolio.
• Experience supervising, mentoring or developing junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own client portfolio, handling queries, requirements and deadlines.
• Build relationships and identify additional services for clients.
• Meet prospective clients and prepare quotations.
• Review statutory accounts and Corporation Tax computations.
• Oversee timely preparation and submission of accounts and VAT returns.
• Allocate work across the team and manage priorities.
• Supervise, mentor and train junior colleagues.
• Provide guidance on bookkeeping, VAT and accounts production.
• Monitor accuracy, deadlines and service standards, reporting on performance.
