Job description

Location: Redditch area of Worcestershire

Practice Type: Join a proudly independent practice based in a beautiful area of semi-rural Worcestershire, well-located to provide good access to other parts of the UK.

Team: With a dedicated team of 3 vets, 3 nurses and 2 receptionists we aim to provide a comprehensive service with referral to specialist centres when required. We care for dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, birds and small mammals.

Facilities: The current premises are in a quiet location which has ample parking for clients.

  • There are several large 'walk-in' dog kennels for all sizes of dogs, and several cozy cat kennels in separate areas, so the cats can get some peace and quiet!
  • For inpatients that stay with the a bit longer there are large gardens to take daily walks in.
  • Inside they have 2 large consulting rooms, one of which has outside access, for those dogs that are a little less 'sociable'!
  • They have a separate theatre and preparation room and a separate room for imaging with X-Ray and ultrasound.

The Role: They are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team

Duties:The workload includes a good mix of consultations and surgery daily, with the clinical freedom to allow each case to be treated individually.

Hours: A full-time rota includes a four-day week; 9-6 with an extended lunch break. Weekends are shared equally between the team, with one surgery on a Saturday morning. (Part-time hours would be considered)

Candidate: They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to provide comprehensive, welcoming, and affordable general practice service to their loyal clients.

Salary: The salary on offer is up to £65,000 p/a depending on experience (pro-rata if part-time)

The Package:

  • 5 weeks holiday plus birthday off
  • Accommodation and relocation are possible
  • RCVS and one membership paid
  • Most details can be negotiated for the right person.
