Job summary

Impact Recruitment Services are sourcing for a Machine Setter for a leading manufacturing business in Corby. The role involves setting up and running production lines, making adjustments to optimise performance and minimise downtime, while ensuring consistent product quality across shifts.

Working on a rotating Panama/Continental pattern (12-hour shifts), you will contribute to safety, efficiency and waste reduction.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background gained through relevant experience or qualifications.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Confidence in setting up, adjusting and operating machinery.
• Practical approach to fault finding and resolving production issues.
• Understands importance of product quality, efficiency and waste minimisation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run allocated production lines to meet targets.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain performance and minimise downtime.
• Maintain high product quality throughout each shift.
• Monitor material usage and minimise waste to meet specs.
• Monitor machine performance and take corrective action as needed.
• Complete accurate shift reports and production records.
• Collaborate with shift leaders, material handlers, packers and QA teams.
• Maintain machinery, tools and equipment in good working order.
• Follow health, hygiene, safety and production procedures.
