Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate manufacturing equipment.
• Complete product changeovers safely and efficiently.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Carry out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance activities.
• Maintain health & safety, food safety and housekeeping standards.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Support production targets relating to efficiency, quality and waste reduction.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Quality and Production teams.
• Contribute ideas and initiatives to improve operational performance.

Alexander Steele are delighted to be supporting a successful and growing food manufacturing business with the recruitment of multiple Machine Setters across a range of shift patterns.

Available Shift Patterns & Salary

Day Shift

• 4 on / 4 off rotation
• 7:00am - 7:00pm
• £31,000 per annum

Night Shift

• 4 on / 4 off rotation
• 7:00pm - 7:00am
• £35,000 per annum

The Role

As a Machine Setter, you will be responsible for setting up, operating and optimising production machinery to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to maximise performance, minimise downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.
