Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Agency is recruiting a Permanent Machine Operator for the Yeovil area. You will set up and operate press brakes, CNC routers and lasers to produce precision parts in a well-organised production environment.

Overtime is available, with structured hours and free onsite parking. You will read technical drawings, use precision measuring tools, and help maintain records for quality checks and machine maintenance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating press brakes, CNC routers or lasers.
• Background in engineering, manufacturing or production environments.
• Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Accurate use of measuring tools (verniers, protractors, squares, tape measures).
• Nesting software knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brakes, CNC routers and lasers.
• Load and unload sheet materials and cut parts using nesting software.
• Form and fold sheet metal and plate on the press brake.
• Measure, inspect and deburr parts against drawings and BOMs.
• Keep accurate records for quality checks and machine maintenance.
• Work to on-time delivery targets while following health and safety procedures.

Permanent Machine Operator | Yeovil area | £15.26 per hour

Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking for a permanent role paying £15.26 per hour ?
This is a role where your setting skills, accuracy and eye for detail are genuinely relied on.
You’ll work across press brakes, CNC routers and lasers, producing precision parts in a well-organised, high-standard production environment.

As a Machine Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Setting and operating press brakes, CNC routers and lasers
• Loading and unloading sheet materials and cut parts using nesting software
• Forming and folding sheet metal and plate on the press brake
• Measuring, inspecting and deburring parts against technical drawings and Bills of Materials
• Keeping accurate records for quality checks and machine maintenance
• Working to on-time delivery targets while following all health and safety procedures

As a Machine Operator, your experience will include:

• Proven experience operating press brakes, CNC routers or lasers
• A background in engineering, manufacturing or production environments
• Confident reading and working from technical drawings
• Accurate use of measuring tools, including verniers, protractors, squares and tape measures
• Knowledge of nesting software (desirable)
• Flexibility to work rotating weekly earlies (6am to 3pm) and lates (2pm to 11pm), 40 hours per week
