The School and Role

This 11-16 mixed secondary school in Basildon, are looking to appoint a dedicated and committed History Teacher to work in a ‘Good’ rated MAT school. Working in this Secondary School as part of an established team, the desired History Teacher must be driven, passionate and able to teach to a high standard as students at this school are working above the national average. This is an excellent opportunity for a History Teacher who is seeking a forward-thinking school with supportive SLT. Students are set high expectations at this school, with a high proportion of pupil premium students. This History teacher role is a permanent role starting in September 2025 and is suitable for ECT’s.

Requirements

The desired History Teacher will;

• Set high expectations for pupils, removing all barriers to learning.
• Ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment where all students make outstanding progress.
• Be responsible for assessing students against learning outcomes and ensuring all groups of students make progress.
• Encourage students to have the highest of aspirations and equip them with the tools they need to become resilient.
• Be hardworking and self-motivated.
• Have a good knowledge of the UK Curriculum.
• PGCE in History with QTS and right to work in the UK.
