Job summary

The People Providers Limited is recruiting for HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers to join a well-established logistics operation in Tibshelf on a full-time, permanent FTE basis. The role involves shunting trailers, moving between areas, coupling/uncoupling and vehicle checks, with a consistent shift pattern and opportunities for security of full-time employment.

You will hold a valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC, Digital Tachograph Card and have 6 months’ Class 1 driving experience.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Minimum 6 months' Class 1 driving experience.
• CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of driver hours and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Shunting trailers and vehicles around the site and yard.
• Moving trailers between designated areas.
• Coupling and uncoupling trailers.
• Carrying out vehicle and trailer checks.
• Maintaining a safe and organised yard environment.
• Working closely with the site and transport teams.
• Following all site safety procedures and driver regulations.
