Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd in Leicestershire is recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to service, repair and maintain machinery and plant equipment. This hands-on role involves working outdoors and supporting site activities to keep operations running smoothly.

You will join the senior fitting team, using your own tools alongside company equipment, and you should have at least 12 months' experience in manufacturing or construction, plus a strong focus on health and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience within a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Able to provide and use your own tools alongside company equipment.
• Good understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain machinery and plant equipment.
• Identify hazards, defects, and repair requirements to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Assist with site preparation, clearance, and general housekeeping duties.
• Support the maintenance of site security and safe working practices.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, legislation, and Health & Safety requirements.
• Adhere to company policies regarding attendance, teamwork, flexibility, and workplace conduct.
• Work effectively as part of a team to complete projects safely and efficiently.
