Job summary

Catholic Primary School in Crosby is seeking a Nursery Teacher to join its Early Years team on a full-time, permanent basis from January 2027. The role offers the chance to work within a supportive school community that prioritises professional development and staff wellbeing.

You will lead engaging Nursery provision, foster curiosity and independence, and collaborate with a dedicated team of colleagues and Teaching Assistants.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status and current teaching registration (QTS)
• Recent experience teaching within EYFS, ideally Nursery or Reception
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
• Knowledge of early language acquisition and child development
• Ability to create inspiring, inclusive learning environments that promote exploration and independence
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the EYFS Framework
• Create an engaging, inclusive Nursery environment
• Support children's communication, language, personal and social development
• Plan and deliver child-centred learning experiences
• Monitor, assess and record children's progress
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
• Work collaboratively with Early Years team and Teaching Assistants
• Ensure safeguarding remains at the forefront of practice
• Contribute positively to the wider school community
