Priory School in Portsmouth is seeking a dedicated Peripatetic Music Teacher. The role focuses on strings and woodwind, with additional desirable experience in singing and piano.

You will teach students aged 11–16, both one-to-one and in small groups, and help them prepare for performances at school events, concerts, and recitals, fostering enthusiasm and confidence in young musicians.

Priory School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Peripatetic Music Teacher to join our thriving Music Department.

We are particularly interested in applicants with experience teaching strings and woodwind instruments. Experience in teaching singing and piano would also be desirable, although this is not essential.

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience teaching music to students aged 11–16.

• Be confident teaching both individual pupils and small groups.

• Inspire and nurture young musicians, encouraging them to develop their skills and confidence.

• Support students in preparing for performances at school events, concerts and recitals.
