Job summary

Discovery is seeking Floating Support Workers to join our North Somerset Peripatetic Team. You will provide flexible, person-centred support across different homes and services, helping adults with learning disabilities live independent lives.

You'll cover varied shifts (early, late, sleep-ins) and be supported by leadership teams. Training is provided, with opportunities for qualifications and career growth within a supportive, values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• An enhanced DBS check is required for this role (cost covered by Discovery).
• You don't need previous care experience—just a caring approach, willingness to learn, and the values that align with ours.

Responsibilities

• Building meaningful, trusting relationships with adults.
• Supporting people with activities they enjoy, both at home and out in the community.
• Encouraging independence and confidence in daily living tasks.
• Helping with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, finances and personal care.
• Supporting individuals who use wheelchairs or communicate in non-verbal ways (full training provided).
• Working closely with colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality support.
