Job summary

Discovery is seeking a dedicated Waking Night Floating Support Worker to provide overnight support across our services in North Somerset. You’ll work as a lone worker, delivering person-centred care to people with learning disabilities and autism, while ensuring safety, wellbeing and comfort throughout the night.

This role requires initiative, excellent communication, and the ability to travel between sites as needed. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant or Night Support Worker
• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and autism
• Experience supporting people with complex needs

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight support, reassurance and emotional guidance
• Complete regular welfare and wellbeing checks
• Support personal care where required
• Support medication administration as trained
• Assist with mobility and moving and assisting tasks
• Promote independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing
• Build positive relationships and maintain records
• Carry out incident reports and housekeeping duties
