Job summary

The Wilmslow Hospital, part of HCA UK, is a private hospital in Cheshire seeking a Theatre Practitioner – Anaesthetics and Recovery. The role is full time (37.5 hours) with 4 shifts per week, early start times, and opportunities for overtime and occasional on‑call commitments.

You’ll work in a modern setting spanning ophthalmology, ENT, urology, orthopaedics, plastics and gynaecology. You’ll join a collaborative team delivering high quality perioperative care, from preparing patients for

Qualifications

• Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse qualification.
• Current HCPC or NMC registration.
• Post registration experience within a theatre environment.
• Proven experience in anaesthetics and recovery.
• Completion of a postgraduate anaesthetics course (for nurses).

Responsibilities

• Deliver consistently high standards of patient care across the perioperative journey.
• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care throughout the perioperative journey.
• Prepare patients for anaesthesia and provide skilled assistance to the anaesthetist.
• Deliver safe post-anaesthetic care within the recovery environment.
• Work collaboratively across the theatre suite and support colleagues.
