Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Charge Nurse to join the Clover Ward, Mother and Baby Unit at Melbury Lodge. This perinatal mental health service offers specialist training and development opportunities and a supportive MDT to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.

The successful candidate will mentor staff, manage the ward on shift, and contribute to bed management and patient flow.

Competenze

UK professional registration is required.
Experience mentoring and supervising nursing staff.
Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.

To assess, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care needs of service users.
To participate in professional meetings as required or identified.
To mentor, supervise and teach qualified and unqualified staff including students.
To manage the clinical area on a shift-by-shift basis.
To participate in the recruitment, deployment, and management of staff.
To deputise the ward manager as required.
Developing and involving in QI on the ward.
To act as the Duty Senior Nurse for the unit when allocated.
To participate and facilitate bed management and patient flow.
