Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Perinatal Governance, Risk and Safety Coordinator to join the maternity and neonatal team in Oxford. The role focuses on patient safety, quality improvement, learning and clinical excellence.

You will lead clinical governance, risk management and incident learning, support PSIRF compliance and maternity safety programmes, and work with clinical teams to drive improvements across maternity services.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with NMC and degree.
• Significant post-registration clinical maternity experience.
• Experience of incident review and investigation.
• Experience of audit, quality improvement or service evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of clinical governance, risk management and patient safety investigations.
• Lead mortality review processes, audits and external investigations.
• Support compliance with PSIRF, MIS, Saving Babies' Lives Care Bundle and other national standards.
• Provide expert support in patient safety, risk management and quality improvement.
• Contribute to governance reporting and regulatory compliance across maternity services.
