Job summary

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the perinatal mental health service across the South West & East Essex hubs, supporting mothers with complex mental health needs during the perinatal period.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy, autonomously managing your caseload, and liaising with Maternity, Health Visiting, Primary Care and Social Care services to promote health

Qualifications

• Registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
• Experience in perinatal mental health or maternity settings preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously within an MDT.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of women in the perinatal period with complex mental health needs.
• Provide Occupational Therapy interventions to support mothers, babies and families.
• Liaise with external services such as Maternity, Health Visiting, Primary Care and Social Care.
• Maintain professional competence in line with HCPC standards.
