Job summary

The Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire Perinatal Team at Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust seeks a dedicated Community Support Worker to assist birthing people with mental health care and medication monitoring within a supportive MDT.

The post offers supervision, development, and opportunities to contribute to group sessions for families in pregnancy and up to one year postnatal, within a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Health and Social Care level 2 or equivalent.
  • Care Certificate.
  • Key skills in Literacy and Numeracy level 2.
  • Successful completion of Trust's full HCA Framework within 6 months.
  • Previous experience as a Band 2/3 HCA or equivalent in a care environment.
  • Experience with mental health, social health needs or learning disabilities.
  • Awareness of Mental Health legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Support birthing people with mental health care and monitoring.
  • Co-facilitate groups and support the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Receive supervision and professional development through appraisal.
