Job summary

South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Practitioner Psychologist to join its Perinatal Mental Health Service in a part-time capacity. The role focuses on highly specialist psychological care for parents and their infants, with supervision and access to development opportunities.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing assessment, formulation and treatment, while coordinating care pathways and liaising with midwives and obstetricians.

Qualifications

• Specialist psychological assessment across outpatient, community, primary care and inpatient settings.
• Experience with severe, complex and long-term mental health problems.
• Minimum 50 hours of clinical supervision over at least 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessments using diverse data sources.
• Formulate and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Deliver a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers, and groups.
• Attend MDT meetings and triage referrals for the perinatal service.
• Develop care pathways in collaboration with lead psychologists and other services.
