Job summary

Northmoor Academy is seeking an experienced teaching assistant with a passion for inclusion and SEND provision. The role focuses on supporting children with special educational needs, helping them regulate emotions and access learning activities.

You will work closely with parents and carers, modelling positive behaviour and contributing to continuous improvement in the classroom. The successful candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent, have literacy and numeracy

• Has anNVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
• HasLiteracy and Numeracy skills equivalent to Level 1 of the National Qualification & Credit Framework
• CompletedDepartment for Education Teaching Assistant Induction Programme (orto complete within first term)
• Hasa full and relevant qualification accepted by the Department for Education (DfE) to work in anearly yearssetting
• Hasa secure knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Statutory Framework.
• Displaysgood understanding of a child’s development and learning.
• Has experience of developing learning resources that scaffold and support learning
• Demonstrates effective communication skills to liaise sensitively and effectively with parents and carers
