Job summary

The Cottesloe School’s Performing Arts Department is recruiting a Technician to support Technical Drama and Music ICT programmes. The role involves classroom assistance, adding technical elements to assessment pieces, and 1:1 work with students who have Special Educational Needs, including KS3 Music and Drama lessons.

You will assist with GCSE and Arts Award programmes, support productions, showcases, practical assessments and other school events, and collaborate with the PA Team to expand

Qualifications

• Experience supporting GCSE and Arts Award programmes.
• Experience KS3 Music and Drama lessons.
• Ability to work 1:1 with students who have SEN.
• Creative approach to technical theatre and music technology.

The Cottesloe School Performing Arts Department are thrilled to be recruiting a Technician. The successful candidate for this brand new role will assist with the development of our Technical Drama and Music ICT programmes. They will offer valuable classroom support in lessons including adding technical elements to assessment pieces as well as working 1:1 with students who have Special Educational Needs. They will assist with a variety of GCSE and Arts Award programmes as well as KS3 Music and Drama lessons. In addition, they will support with a variety of productions, showcases, practical assessments and other school events. We are looking for someone with creativity to enhance our thriving department and who will INSPIRE our students by sharing their knowledge and expertise of Technical Theatre and Music Technology. The successful candidate will work with the PA Team to expand the experience of production opportunities for students interested in backstage careers. We look forward to hearing from you!
