About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Performing Arts Teacher to join our dynamic team in Dudley. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for the arts and a strong desire to inspire and nurture the next generation of performers. This role involves teaching students across a range of ages and abilities, developing their skills in drama, dance, and music.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in drama, dance, and music.
  • Foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to express themselves and develop their talents.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Organise and direct school productions, performances, and events.
  • Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote the performing arts within the school and the wider community.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in performing arts education and incorporate these into your teaching practice.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Performing Arts or a related field.
  • Experience teaching drama, dance, and/or music at the secondary school level.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Experience directing school productions or performances.
  • Additional qualifications or experience in a specific area of performing arts (e.g., choreography, music composition).

To be considered for the role of Performing Arts Teacher, you will:

  • Have experience teaching Performing Arts.

Salary depends on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum requirements are:

  • A PGCE in Teaching Performing Arts.
