Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Non-Functional Test Engineer to join a team delivering performance testing across API, frontend, and UI layers. You will gather requirements via client engagements, craft and execute scripts, and report findings to stakeholders.

The role emphasizes testing against NFRs, working with Azure infrastructure, and collaborating with client teams on multiple simultaneous projects. Strong communication and time management are essential.

Qualifications

• Experienced Non Functional Test Engineer with demonstrable experience in Performance Testing and Non Functional Testing.
• Performance testing background is required; candidates without demonstrable performance testing experience will not be considered.
• Experience working as a performance tester/engineer in previous roles.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage time effectively.
• Experience developing, executing, and maintaining performance test scripts.
• Experience with Gatling (preferred), JMeter, or LoadRunner.
• Good interpersonal skills
• Experience working with client teams or third parties.
• Experience in other areas of NFT such as Accessibility, Compatibility, Usability, or Disaster Recovery would be beneficial.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on performance testing projects covering API, Front End, and UI-based performance testing.
• Gather performance test requirements through project and client engagement meetings.
• Review and analyse non-functional requirements (NFRs) to ensure they are clear and testable.
• Develop performance test scripts.
• Execute and report on performance tests to technical and business stakeholders.
• Identify performance test failures against NFRs.
• Perform performance testing against Azure infrastructure.
• Carry out performance test analysis.
• Communicate issues and risks clearly and promptly to relevant stakeholders.
• Support performance testing projects for public and private sector clients.
