Job summary

Webologix Ltd/ INC in Glasgow seeks a Senior Performance Test Engineer to ensure applications meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements under expected and peak loads.

You will work with business, architecture, development, and infrastructure teams to identify risks early and drive test planning, scripting, and execution.

The role requires deep hands-on expertise with LoadRunner/Performance Centre and modern APM tools, across cloud and legacy environments, in agile settings.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of hands-on experience in non-functional testing delivery across requirements, workload modeling, scripting, and analysis.
• Experience with Performance Centre/LoadRunner, MuleSoft, Tibco, Mule ESB, and APM tools like Dynatrace/AppDynamics.
• Proven ability to establish performance testing frameworks and standards.
• Experience delivering performance testing across cloud and legacy environments.
• Experience working in Agile teams and familiarity with Agile framework.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with UK customers.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Senior Performance Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring that applications and platforms meet performance, scalability, stability, and reliability requirements under expected and peak workload conditions. The role requires extensive experience with LoadRunner/Performance Centre, strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies, and the ability to work closely with business, architecture, development, and infrastructure teams to identify and mitigate performance risks early in the delivery lifecycle.

Your responsibilities:

• Understands performance test requirements and prepare test plan
• Creates and updates performance test scripts and test data
• Able to conduct performance test execution and analyze the test results
• Able to identify Performance bottlenecks and effectively communicate the performance risks to respective project team
• Prepare Performance Test Summary report
• Identifies risk and issues, and develops effective mitigation and contingency plans
• Produces daily and weekly status reports
• Responsible for keeping knowledge repositories up to date
• Responsible for end-to-end performance test delivery for assigned Applications

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Minimum 8 to 12 years of hands‑on experience in delivering non-functional test engagements, covering requirement gathering, workload model preparation, test planning, scripting using Web HTTP/HTML, TruClient, and web services, test execution, monitoring, and in-depth performance results analysis.
• Experience in Testing tools and technologies like Performance Centre, LoadRunner, MuleSoft, Tibco, Mule ESB, APM tools like Dynatrace/ App Dynamics.
• Proven capability in setting up performance testing frameworks and standards
• Hands‑on experience delivering performance testing across both cloud-based and legacy environment
• Must have worked in Agile teams, should be well versed in agile framework
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and communication skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with team members and UK customers
