Contract type: Permanent

Full/Part-time: Full-time

Hours: 36 hours per week

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience

Job grade: B

Overview

We are seeking a Performance Manager to join Thames Water permanently. This role offers an exciting opportunity to significantly impact our Waste Treatment operations as a front-line performance manager.

The key responsibilities include managing and supporting your team and ensuring process compliance across your sites. You will oversee the daily operations and improvement initiatives at sewage treatment works in the Wargrave area, through effective leadership and continuous improvement practices.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage your team in accordance with company policies, fostering competence through coaching and training.
  2. Identify, mitigate, resolve, and escalate risks across your site and team.
  3. Ensure asset operation and maintenance are performed efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively 24/7.
  4. Manage budgets effectively, ensuring compliance with health & safety, and performance standards.
  5. Deliver safe, reliable service to customers and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  6. Implement health and safety policies and oversee site compliance with Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) permits.
  7. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and local authorities.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in team management, operational management, or process management, with skills in budgeting, health & safety, and engineering or maintenance.
  • Strong leadership and performance management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and risk management skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills is desirable.
  • Valid driving license for site travel.
