We are looking for a Performance Manager to join Thames Water permanently.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in one of our most critical roles within Waste Treatment as a front-line performance manager.

You will have two key responsibilities: managing and supporting your team, and ensuring process compliance on your sites.

You will oversee the day-to-day operations and continuous improvement of sewage treatment works in the Wargrave area, through effective leadership, resource management, and process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and develop your team in line with company policies, fostering competence through coaching and training.
  2. Identify, mitigate, resolve, and escalate risks across the site and team.
  3. Ensure consistent asset operation and maintenance for safe, cost-efficient, and reliable 24/7 operation.
  4. Manage budgets effectively, ensuring compliance with H&S, and performance standards.
  5. Deliver safe and high-quality services to customers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  6. Implement health and safety policies and oversee site compliance with Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) permits.
  7. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including the Environment Agency, local councils, and emergency services.

Candidate Profile:

  1. Experience managing teams, with operational management skills, including budget, safety, and maintenance expertise.
  2. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  3. Excellent organizational and risk management abilities.
  4. Computer literacy and a valid driving license are desirable.

Benefits:

  • Salary up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • 26 days holiday, increasing to 30 with service, plus bank holidays.
