Thames Water Utilities Limited is recruiting an Operations Performance Manager to lead a 2-3 person team across Witney and surrounding sites in Wastewater operations. The role focuses on safety, performance and project delivery.
You will travel between sites, manage up to 15 Sewage Treatment Works, supervise up to 12 technicians, and drive improvements while ensuring regulatory compliance and customer service excellence.
Do you enjoy working in a team, driving high Health and Safety standards that make you proud, driving the performance of not only yourself but also your team, communicating with others at all levels, and, most of all, love working in an environment where every day is different and offers you unknown challenges that put our service one of the key essentials to us all?
With the rapidly changing environment and all the complexities this brings, working as an Operations Performance Manager will provide you with a wealth of different activities to sink your teeth into.
We have a great opportunity for a newly created role working across the geographical area of Witney and the surrounding area, where you will be assisting with the day-to-day running of up to 15 Sewage Treatment Works, along with managing a small multi-skilled team of up to 12 technicians.
With the impact of our operations on the environment being at the forefront of everything we do, you will be tasked with driving improvements in the operations of your sites and the assets within them, looking at ways to change what we do for the better of all parties, mainly our customers and, of course, THE ENVIRONMENT.
In order to achieve your goals, you will need to inspire and motivate your team whilst also being able to empathise and understand each person in your team, helping us build a strong team environment.
You will operate out of the main site at Witney STW but will visit other sites, making a driving licence and car ownership essential, as you will need to travel throughout your working week. You will work 36 hours a week Monday to Friday, along with participating in an out-of-hours rota for escalations and advice, as we are a 24-hour business.
If this is you, we are looking for someone to join our Thames Valley North Operations Team in Wastewater, which offers a brilliant opportunity for you to establish a career with Thames Water in frontline operations.
As you will be able to see from the above, there are plenty of things to help you feel fulfilled at work and the sense that you have achieved something.
