Role: Performance & Emissions Certificate Test Engineer

Job Description:
- The Certification team is responsible for delivering product certification and conformity testing to global engine performance and emissions regulation standards.
- This team applies deep technical knowledge to regulation-compliant test execution, ongoing performance & emissions conformity monitoring, generating regulation-compliant test reports, and test data to ensure the product portfolio meets international emissions standards.
- This is a highly visible team that interacts directly with all areas of engineering and, at times, reports directly to product groups.
- The role works closely with the Performance Systems Integration engineering team and Emissions & Power Systems Regulatory Compliance team to deliver engine emissions certification & conformity testing to the highest standards in accordance with all engine emissions regulations.
- Collaborates with the GED Test Operations and Facilities Emissions teams to ensure high-quality data.
What You Will Do:
- Plan, schedule & execute engine performance & emissions testing across medium engine products ranging from 0.5L to 7.1L used in global engine manufacturing projects.
- Conduct and/or direct engine performance and emissions tests, ensuring data quality, test result integrity, and regulatory compliance.
- Write requirements, procedures, and reports, and formally present test outcomes.
- Plan, manage, and deliver tests within tight timelines while maintaining high quality.
What You Have:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering curriculum.
- Experience in combustion engine and aftertreatment calibration testing.
- Experience with engine performance and emissions certification testing.
- Knowledge of Non-road engine emissions regulations and testing requirements.
- Experience with data systems such as CANape, Gryphon.
- Familiarity with engine management interface software and Microsoft 365 suite.
Industry Experience Required:
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Preferred industries: Automotive and Non-road.
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering curriculum.
