Job summary

hyperexponential is hiring a People & Talent Product Engineer to join Central Functions and build the internal tools that power compensation, performance and org design. You will own features end-to-end, from problem framing and experience design to production-grade backend and data infrastructure, collaborating with IT and Security to ensure secure, compliant delivery.

This role blends software engineering with product thinking, sitting near People & Talent and partnering with the core

Qualifications

2-4 years' experience as a full stack or product engineer owning a tool end to end.
Experience making UI/UX decisions with real users in mind.
Autonomy as the primary or sole engineer on a project with end-to-end ownership.

Responsibilities

Act as product engineer for People & Talent, owning the full arc from problem framing and experience design through to technical build and delivery, for tools spanning simple internal utilities to the multi-level compensation platform.
Make UI and design choices that affect how people across hx experience these tools, from employee requests to manager calibrations.
Turn front-end prototypes into production-ready products, including back end, data model and infrastructure.
Spec new builds before coding, mapping experience and delivery plan with architecture.
Iterate on live tools based on user feedback, applying product rigour to internal tools.
Handle sensitive employee and compensation data in line with hx policies and evolve them securely.
Grow into product engineering for People & Talent at the intersection of software, UX, security and people ops.
