Job summary

Mizkan in Chiswick, United Kingdom, is seeking an ambitious HR & Talent Advisor to join the HR team on a hybrid basis. The role blends HR generalist duties with end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and talent development across the UK and Amsterdam teams.

You will support managers, drive engagement, and collaborate on workforce planning, policy delivery and people initiatives within a global, heritage-rich business.

Qualifications

• Experience in a generalist HR role across the employee lifecycle.
• Experience in end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition.
• Exposure to employee relations activities, particularly absence management and wellbeing support.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• A good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience using HR systems such as Dayforce.
• CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification (or currently working towards one).

Responsibilities

• Provide trusted first-line HR advice and guidance to managers.
• Support absence management and wellbeing initiatives.
• Assist in performance management, development planning and engagement initiatives.
• Support the review, development and implementation of HR policies and processes.
• Contribute to organisational development programmes, learning initiatives and culture-building activities.
• Produce HR insights and reporting to help inform business decisions.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues across UK sites and Amsterdam.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment activity from vacancy approval through onboarding.
• Create engaging job adverts and update job descriptions.
• Coordinate recruitment campaigns across multiple channels.
• Screen applications, shortlist candidates and arrange interviews.
• Conduct candidate screening calls and provide recommendations to hiring managers.
• Partner with managers to improve hiring capability and interview effectiveness.
• Manage agency relationships where required.
• Ensure recruitment processes are compliant and accurately maintained within HR systems.
• Coordinate learning and development activities across the business.
• Support probation reviews and development planning.
• Assist with succession planning and talent review processes.
• Help deliver mentoring, job-shadowing and internal development programmes.
• Monitor and report on training participation, completion and effectiveness.
• Support continuous improvement of talent and development initiatives.
