Job summary

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is recruiting for a Band 3 Resourcing & Workforce Systems Administrator based on the Wirral. The role focuses on providing efficient resourcing and HR administration across departments, impacting the candidate and staff experience from application to onboarding.

Based at Bebington Wirral with occasional work at Liverpool CityCentre; hybrid working and the option to work from home are available. Salary range £25,760–£27,476 per annum, 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship or equivalent relevant administrative experience.
  • Good general education, including English and Mathematics at GCSE level or equivalent.

An exciting position has arisen in our small and friendly Resourcing & Workforce Systems Team. If you love meeting new people and learning lots of new anddiverse skills, this is the job for you!

For us, the most important quality of the successful candidate will be the drive and determination to provide an excellent service to both our candidate, existing staff & managers.

This role involves providing an efficient and quality resourcing & administration service to all departments at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre and subsidiaries, which also includes assisting with temporary staff, honorary appointments & clinical placements.

You will often be the first point of contact for candidates and current employees including managers to provide advice and guidance from initial application stage or vacancy stage right through to their first day of work & whilst in post. This means you will have a real impact on the candidates’ experience of applying for a job and subsequent employment with us. Being welcoming, helpful and kind are essential characteristics of our new colleague.

Main duties of the job

  • Enter, update and validate employee information on workforce systems
  • Monitor shared inboxes, workflow queues and worklists
  • Respond to routine enquiries from candidates, employees and managers by telephone, email and digital systems
  • Provide administrative support
  • Support recruitment and onboarding administration, including assigning Certificates of Sponsorship
  • Produce routine reports, spreadsheets and correspondence

Although this role will be based at our hospital in Bebington, Wirral, you must also be able to work at our hospital in Liverpool CityCentre when required. CCC supports hybrid working and you will also have the opportunity to work from home.

Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship or equivalent relevant administrative experience
  • Good general education, including English and Mathematics at GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Business administration, customer service or IT qualification
Knowledge and Expertise
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Understanding of effective administrative and customer-service processes
  • Awareness of confidentiality, data protection and information governance requirements
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures and standard operating processes
  • Understanding of the importance of deadlines, accurate records and appropriate escalation
  • Awareness of ESR, Trac, NHS terms and conditions, payroll processes or NHS employment checks
Experience
  • Relevant administrative experience in a busy office or customer-service environment
  • Experience of entering, checking and maintaining information on electronic systems or databases
  • Experience of handling enquiries by telephone and email.
  • Experience of organising a varied workload and meeting deadlines
  • Experience of handling confidential or sensitive information appropriately
  • Experience in HR, recruitment, payroll, workforce information or NHS administration
  • Experience of ESR, Trac or a comparablesystems
