Job summary

BYLOR is seeking a Cost Controller/Administrator for the HPC project at Hinkley Point C in Somerset. You will support management with cost control, admin tasks, and ensuring timely, accurate reporting on labour, materials and orders.

The role requires strong numeracy, organisation and collaboration within a dynamic construction team. A proactive approach to process improvement and HR/IR oversight will be beneficial.

Qualifications

• Must be highly organised with strong prioritisation
• Numerate with attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and IT skills, able to work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Produce weekly timesheets and related IR/HR forms
• Monitor weekly labour costs and site expenditures
• Place material and plant orders
• Process Goods Received Notes
• Monitor missing tickets and resolve invoice issues
• Handle plant/falsework off-hire
• Check accruals and uncommitted orders
• Prepare weekly site statistics reports for Senior Office Manager
• Record training qualifications

Purpose Of The Role

Providing a service covering areas of cost control and administration for the successful operation of the HPC project. Ensuring that adequate and effective support is available to the management team.

Key Responsibilities And Specific Accountabilities

• Production of Weekly Timesheets plus all related IR / HR issues and forms
• Production and monitoring of weekly Labour Costs
• Placing material and plant orders
• Process Goods Received Notes
• Missing Ticket and Problem Invoice monitoring and resolution
• Off hiring plant/falsework
• Monitoring incorrect Accruals
• Monitoring Uncommitted Orders, Rejected & Outstanding orders
• Weekly site stats reports to Senior Office Manager
• Capture of training qualifications

All positions with Bylor are employed directly with either Laing O'Rourke or Bouygues Travaux Public and include competitive salaries, private medical insurance, company pension schemes and annual holiday allowance. Some grades will also include a company car allowance.

Unless stated otherwise all positions are based at Hinkley Point C in Somerset.
