Job Description

Here in the People & Places (P&P) Control Office, there is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team passionate about the P&P Control optimisation and automation Journey. This is a prominent role within a team of subject matter experts providing insightful analysis and evaluation of the P&P control environment and safeguarding the business. The role provides a real opportunity to identify inefficiencies and drive automation for an optimised control environment.

In this role you’ll work with the control specialist leadership to support the delivery of this next phase of transformation for LBG.

Accountabilities
  • Work with the Senior Manager on the P&P control automation journey. Identify existing opportunities for control automation, identify control gaps and use control by design where applicable to drive automation.
  • Work collaboratively with our platform teams to design, build, cost and deliver on the automation journey.
  • Cascade P&Ps automation review schedule and agreed methodology to appropriate customers. Support with the running of initial deep dives into identifying control automation within P&P.
  • Liaise with a network of business partners to champion and progress control automation deep dives.
  • Work with risk and control owner teams to help deliver against aligned customer, business and strategic outcomes.
  • Analyse and assess control environment efficiency using a wide range of sources and identify potential impacts on the business.
  • Support the development and implementation of the control strategy to supervise and test the design and operating effectiveness of the control environment across end-to-end business processes.
  • Lead a limited level of control testing and transactional work, supervising a small group performing control management tasks.
  • Supports the ongoing development of control tooling solutions to enable the optimisation of the control environment.
  • Support timely reporting on the effectiveness and performance of controls and compliance through maintaining effective data quality (KCIs), completeness and accuracy of testing and monitoring activities.
  • Assist in the management of actions on operational risk events and breaches following Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA). Identify issues and suggest and implement improvements to control environment with guidance from senior colleagues.
  • Support with monitoring progression, via a dashboard reportable into P&P Risk Committee.
What We Need From You

Control Practitioner -Experience in control by design, implementing and monitoring control strategies and a strong ability to execute testing of control design and operating effectiveness of the control environment.

Data & Analytics –Ability to interpret different sources of data and complex information to effectively problem solve and able to develop appropriate analytical processes for control performance reporting to make relevant conclusions and recommendations across the control environment.

Clear Reporting– Expertise in crafting effective reporting on the performance and progression of automation, compliance and optimisation across the P&P control environment.

Great Influencing– Being able to support the Senior Manager and act as a control management business partner, using effective communication to foster partnerships and work collaboratively with others to deliver shared objectives.

Control Automation & Optimisation– Experience with end-to-end mapping of processes and Finding opportunities to automate and optimise control landscapes, agreement and delivery of embedding control by design.
