Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd. in Luton is seeking a part‑time People Partner to join the People Team on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. The role is 22 hours per week, with pro‑rated salary of £30,000–£32,000 and on-site requirements at least two days per week.

You will support projects across resourcing, engagement, and performance management, and work with HR partners to deliver the UK People Plan while fostering Leonardo values.

Qualifications

• A People professional with a track record of delivering positive people focused change.
• The ability to engage and interact with all levels of the organisation and build effective working relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Proficient in IT – Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• A team player who can work well with the local and the UK People team.
• The ability to work independently, multi task and deliver to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support the People Team in delivering and leading projects across resourcing, employee engagement and performance management.
• Support the UK People Plan with functional leadership teams to mature and embed it.
• Apply best people practices and enhance leadership skills aligned to Leonardo’s values and Fundamentals.
• Facilitate workshops and coaching of leaders and managers.
• Work with the outsourced HR provider to ensure seamless delivery of operational and administrative People services.

At Leonardo we have an exciting opportunity for a People Partner to join the People Team in Luton on a Fixed Term Contract to cover Maternity Leave. The contract duration is up to 14 months (January 2028).

Your Impact:

This is a part‑time opportunity contracted for 22 hrs per week, therefore the salary advertised will be pro‑rated to circa £30,000 to £32,000. There is flexibility around whether those 22 hours are completed across three or four working days. However, due to the nature of the work the individual is required onsite at least two days per week at Luton.

Leonardo Luton is the home of our Electronic Warfare and Future Combat Air Lines of Business we are as one of the world's top manufacturers of radars, lasers and infra‑red countermeasure systems with around 1,800 employees across multiple UK sites, with our largest facility in Luton.

What you will do as a People Partner:
