Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a People Partner in Luton on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This part-time role is 22 hours per week, onsite at least two days per week, with the contract lasting up to 14 months (to January 2028). The advertised salary is pro-rated to circa £30,000–£32,000.

You will work with the Operations, Manufacturing and Quality teams to foster trust, ownership and empowerment, delivering people-focused projects and supporting leadership development.

• A People professional with a track record of delivering positive people focused change.
• Ability to engage with all levels of the organisation and senior stakeholders.
• Proficient in IT – Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• A team player who can work with the local and UK People team.

Responsibilities

• Support the People Team in delivering and leading projects across resourcing, employee engagement and performance management.
• Support the UK People Plan and embed best people practice.
• Facilitate workshops and coaching of leaders and managers.
• Collaborate with the outsourced HR provider to ensure seamless delivery of operational and administrative People services.

The contract duration is up to 14 months (January 2028). This is a part-time opportunity contracted for 22 hrs per week, therefore the salary advertised will be pro-rated to circa £30,000 to £32,000. There is flexibility around whether those 22 hours are completed across three or four working days. However, due to the nature of the work the individual is required onsite at least two days per week at Luton. Leonardo Luton is the home of our Electronic Warfare and Future Combat Air Lines of Business we are as one of the world's top manufacturers of radars, lasers and infra-red countermeasure systems with around 1,800 employees across multiple UK sites, with our largest facility in Luton.
