Job summary

SGN is seeking a proactive People Partner to foster a positive Employee Relations climate and advise managers across the business. You will lead ER cases, deliver training, and contribute to People projects, continuous improvement and nurturing emerging talent.

You will partner with operations teams across the SGN patch, travelling between sites in the South of England and Scotland. This role combines office/depot work with one remote day per week.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as HR Advisor or Employee Relations Specialist.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Experience advising senior stakeholders.
• Ability to build relationships and coach managers.
• Experience with organisational change and HR projects.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage employee relations cases (grievances, disciplinaries, absence).Provide expert advice on People policies and procedures.Support managers in ER cases and reduce volume via coaching.Deliver training on HR topics like performance and absence management.Nurture emerging talent through regular performance reviews and education needs.
