Job summary

Bauer Media Group is seeking a People Partner to join the UK Publishing People Team. You will help deliver the Publishing People Strategy through organisational effectiveness, capability initiatives, leadership and talent development.

The role involves leading business-wide people programmes, partnering with leaders and Centres of Excellence, and strengthening leadership capability and succession planning for the future.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering leadership development programmes.
• Strong ability to identify capability gaps and future skills needs.
• Proven track record in succession planning and talent development.
• Ability to collaborate with Leaders, People Partners and Centres of Excellence.

Responsibilities

Job description

We’re looking for a People Partner to join our UK Publishing People Team, helping deliver the Publishing People Strategy through organisational effectiveness and capability initiatives, leadership, talent and development.

This is a broad role with the opportunity to lead business-wide people programme, while working closely with leaders, Business Partners and Centres of Excellence. You’ll play an important part in developing leadership capability, strengthening talent and succession, improving organisational effectiveness and helping Publishing build the skills it needs for the future.

What you'll be doing

• Organisational Effectiveness & Capability
• Drive programmes that improve organisational effectiveness, ways of working and business performance.
• Support organisational design, workforce planning and change initiatives.Partner with leaders to identify capability gaps and future skills needs.
• Drive future skills and AI capability initiatives aligned to business priorities.

Leadership, Talent & Development

• Lead leadership and management development initiatives, including the rollout of leadership frameworks.
• Support and embed talent management, succession planning and career development practices.
• Promote learning and development opportunities, including Bauer Academy and other capability-building programmes.
• Design and deliver leadership, management and capability-building workshops.

People Programmes & Processes

• Lead people initiatives arising from the Publishing People Strategy.
• Lead annual people processes including performance reviews, talent reviews, succession planning and pay review activity.
• Support policy implementation, manager upskilling and probation processes.
• Work closely with leaders, People Business Partners and Centres of Excellence to deliver people initiatives.
