Job summary

The Carers’ Centre in Bath is seeking an experienced people and operations professional for a permanent 22.5-hour role combining homeworking with time at the Bath office. The actual annual pay is £19,276.92 (£31,699.83 FTE).

The role focuses on developing HR policies, supporting managers, and leading operational improvements to enhance staff welfare and effectiveness. CIPD Level 5, or progress towards it, is required.

Qualifications

• HR knowledge and operational judgement to turn requirements into clear processes.
• Organised, proactive and able to build relationships with managers and external partners.
• CIPD Level 5, or progress towards it, is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop people policies, procedures and guidance for managers to apply consistently.
• Support performance management across the employee lifecycle.
• Advise staff and managers on HR issues, learning needs and wellbeing.
• Oversee administration, HR records and DBS processing.
• Work with the Deputy CEO on compliance and data-protection practice.
• Improve operational processes, create procedures and templates.
• Coach managers and deliver guidance or training.
• Oversee HR indicators and support quality assurance.
