Job summary

Sodexo Live! at St. James' Park, home of Newcastle United FC, is seeking a People Operations Administrator to manage recruitment, onboarding and staff lifecycle for casual and contracted teams.

You’ll support recruitment events, inductions and training, ensuring compliance and a first-class candidate experience. You’ll collaborate across Hospitality, Catering, Kitchens and Events to keep staffing aligned with matchdays and major events while delivering excellent employee support and engagement

Qualifications

  • Previous recruitment experience, ideally within a high-volume environment.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Experience working within hospitality, catering, events or a customer-focused environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and recruitment systems.
  • A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating high-volume recruitment activities for both casual and contracted roles, from advertising through to onboarding.
  • Screening applications, arranging interviews and delivering an excellent candidate experience.
  • Conducting Right to Work, visa and compliance checks, ensuring employee records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Supporting onboarding, inductions and mandatory training for new starters across the business.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for the casual workforce, responding to queries and supporting employee engagement initiatives.
  • Assisting with workforce planning and staffing coordination for matchdays, events and daily operations.
  • Managing labour management systems, staffing records and payroll administration to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Supporting recruitment events, assessment days and community outreach activities to attract new talent.
  • Monitoring attendance, training completion and workforce compliance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Working closely with operational managers to ensure staffing levels, training and employee support consistently meet business needs.

At Sodexo Live!, we're looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised People Operations Administrator to join our People Operations team at the world-famous St. James' Park, home of Newcastle United Football Club.

This is much more than an administration role. You'll play a vital part in recruiting, onboarding, engaging and supporting the people who deliver unforgettable experiences to thousands of guests on matchdays, concerts and major events throughout the year.

From attracting top talent and coordinating recruitment events to supporting large-scale staffing operations for Premier League fixtures and live entertainment, you'll be at the heart of one of the most exciting event environments in the UK.

As a People Operations Administrator, you'll support the full employee lifecycle for both casual and contracted employees.

You’ll be responsible for helping ensure we have the right people, in the right place, at the right time, while delivering an exceptional candidate and employee experience from initial application through to onboarding and beyond.

You’ll work closely with managers across Hospitality, Catering, Kitchens and Events to ensure staffing levels meet operational demand and our teams are fully trained, engaged and compliant.

We’re looking for someone who loves working with people, enjoys organising multiple priorities and takes pride in delivering an outstanding candidate and employee experience.

What You'll Do:
