Job summary

Farrer Barnes Ltd is recruiting a seasoned People Officer for an educational institution in West London. You will report to the Head and SLT, developing and implementing an HR strategy aligned with the school's strategic plan, and lead on workforce planning, ER advice, and policy updates.

The role covers full recruitment cycle, payroll, disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, restructuring and change management.

Qualifications

• Experienced HR generalist with strong education background.
• Team management experience is essential.
• CIPD qualifications strongly preferred; education sector experience welcomed.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced People Officer to join my client, an educational institution based in West London.

Within this role you will report directly to the Head and wider SLT, to ensure the implementation of an HR Strategy that develops and supports the overall strategic plan, undertake workforce planning research, support and advise on all ER issues and keep all relevant parties informed on any employment law and related policy amendments. This role, you’ll provide professional, efficient, confidential and proactive guidance and support to the wider team, in areas including full recruitment cycle, payroll, disciplinary matters, grievance, absence management, restructuring and change management.

Applications are sought from experienced HR candidates with a strong generalist and education background, with team management experience. CIPD qualifications are strongly preferred and whilst experience of the education sector would be an advantage, those who can bring innovation and creativity on people practise from other sectors are very welcomed to apply. The successful candidate will also possess a high level of diplomacy and problem-solving skills.
