About You and The Role

This employer is looking for an experienced People Manager to lead their HR function and help shape a positive, inclusive and values driven culture across the organisation. Reporting to the Director of Finance & People, you’ll provide strategic HR leadership while ensuring high-quality day to day support for colleagues, managers and the Senior Leadership Team.

This is a varied and influential role. You’ll take ownership of the employer's People Strategy, review and improve systems and processes, and oversee all aspects of the employee life cycle, from recruitment and onboarding to learning, development and performance. Working closely with line managers, you’ll coach and support them to embed consistent, fair and values led people practices. You’ll also lead on employee engagement, manage the organisation's relationship with the recognised trade union, and produce clear HR and Health & Safety metrics that help inform organisational decision making.

A key part of the role is supporting the implementation of an EDI Framework and Action Plan. You’ll help the employer build a welcoming culture for people from all backgrounds, ensuring their recruitment, development and engagement practices actively support diversity and inclusion in practical, meaningful ways.

You’ll bring at least five years’ experience in a People Manager or People Business Partner role, with strong technical HR knowledge and the confidence to influence senior leaders. You’ll be CIPD Level 5 qualified (minimum), an excellent communicator, and someone who enjoys building relationships and helping others thrive. If you’re motivated by improving people systems, supporting colleagues, and helping shape an organisation’s culture, this role offers the opportunity to make a real and lasting impact.
