Role Overview: We are excited to announce an opportunity for a skilled HR Manager to join our Soft FM People Team on a fixed term/secondment basis until 30 June 2026

Main duties of the job

Building personal credibility and support senior managers in making key decisions regarding their People strategies

Job fairs

·Providing of expert, professional advice to a range of internal stakeholders on all HR and People matters, including complex employee relations cases and organisational change

·Developing the people management capacity of operational managers through the provision of coaching and deliver people related training and facilitation.

·Managing and developing partnership working with trade union representatives

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Significant experience in a senior HR role.

  • Experience in working with trade unions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust and influence senior leaders.

“Although this position is a 11 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks. Experience

  • Demonstrable generalist HR experience demonstrating competence across the range of HR functions
  • Demonstrable track record of providing specialist HR advice to services and managers in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Experience in the public sector or in a large complex organisation with union recognition
  • Experience of working with business performance metrics/data to guide and direct strategy
  • Management of staff.
  • Experience of interpreting and applying HR knowledge to workforce management
  • Proven effective problem solving ability
  • Experience of supporting change management within a large complex environment
  • Experience of undertaking Agenda for Change job matching reviews

Knowledge

  • Expert knowledge of key current issues in human resources and the ability to interpret and apply the knowledge to the Trust workforce strategy
