People Director – Organisational Effectiveness

We are seeking a strategic and visionary HR Director focused on Organisational Effectiveness to join our HR leadership team. This role will be responsible for leading organisation‑wide effectiveness through market‑leading design & development activity, diagnostics, frameworks and programmes. It will play a critical part in shaping our culture, driving employee engagement and ensuring organisational alignment with business goals through the delivery of best‑in‑class organisational design and development practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead organisational design assessments to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and execute change management strategies that promote colleague‑first transitions during organisational changes.
  • Develop and implement an enterprise‑wide L&D strategy aligned with current and future capability needs, leading the overall team that manages the design and delivery of training programmes (e.g., technical, compliance, leadership).
  • Define and embed leadership competency frameworks and build career development frameworks and learning pathways across functions.
  • Lead the development of effective, inclusive, and future‑ready leaders.
  • Identify and develop high‑potential talent for leadership pipelines, driving leadership assessment, coaching, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Build and lead on talent organisation‑wide initiatives to ensure the right talent is in the right roles now and in the future.
  • Champion internal mobility and talent visibility across the organisation.
  • Lead and implement a high‑performance culture that delivers results.
  • Develop and embed a performance management framework that supports both continuous feedback and formal reviews, aligning individual goals with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Partner closely with senior leaders and people partner teams to define and embed our colleague promise focused on culture and behaviours, driving initiatives that improve employee engagement, inclusion and belonging.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to cultivate a culture that reflects company values, promotes diversity and inclusion, and reinforces organisational goals.
  • Lead organisation‑wide operating model implementation to ensure it supports strategic delivery and business partnership, clarity in roles, spans of control, decision rights and governance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing guidance on organisational effectiveness, team dynamics and change management.
  • Build strong relationships across departments to foster collaboration and understanding of the people team’s role in driving business success.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., SHRM‑SCP, SPHR) preferred.
  • Extensive HR experience in a leadership role focused on organisational effectiveness, change management or similar fields.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful organisational development and change management programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, particularly in performance management, talent management and employee engagement.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with experience leveraging data to drive decision‑making.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
